Her storytelling is influenced by an interest in bygone days. As a mentor, she helps women writers to shed emotional armour so they can reclaim their self-expression, dream bigger and learn to guide themselves through new creative risks. Gwen lives in the Kawartha Lakes region with her husband. Her forthcoming novel will be published in the spring of 2024 by Random House Canada.

I love these pictures! The kid with the Xmas tree is adorable, and I just love that moment where the older woman is passing on her knowledge to the younger one.

For me, each of these photos was its own story. I find myself wondering what type of oven the turkey will be roasted in. The first turkey is always quite daunting. But if the stove is wood fueled, it was probably difficult to regulate the heat
